Food consumption, health and sustainability
We have significant research expertise in areas relevant to food consumption, human health and sustainability.
We combine innovative social science and public health nutrition perspectives with the latest natural science insights on the future of food, including the promotion of healthy and sustainable diets, improved equity in resource distribution, more effective governance and regulation of agri-food systems, and less wasteful consumption practices.
Our research identifies pathways to achieve the multiple objectives of food security: providing sufficient safe, affordable and nutritious food for all while ensuring environmental protection, social justice, animal welfare and resource sustainability.
