Discuss ideas and challenges around the use of digital technology in learning and teaching with our Digital Learning Advisers, in sessions tailored to your specific needs and requirements. For individuals or small groups.

Due to the temporary move to online teaching in response to the Coronavirus COVID-19 situation, these advice sessions will be increased in availability to meet demand, and held online. In the short term they are ONLY to be booked for immediate online teaching concerns for the current term. Any slots booked for non-urgent advice may be rejected during this time - we appreciate your understanding and support.

Topics you may want to discuss include (but are not limited to):

  • Moving course material online
  • Delivering sessions remotely
  • Recording lectures
  • Using Blackboard (MOLE), Blackboard Collaborate, Kaltura, Encore, Turnitin or other tools used in the delivery of online teaching.
  • Online assessment
  • Collaborative tools in Blackboard (MOLE)
  • Online groupwork

Please note we are not able to cover topics such as hardware and software in teaching spaces, software licensing, and general IT. These should be addressed to the IT Service Desk at it-servicedesk@sheffield.ac.uk.
