Reporting bullying and harassment Bullying

The University is committed to providing support for those who feel they are being subjected to bullying and harassment, including that which is based on sexual orientation and gender identity.

Health AssuredStaff Helpine

The staff helpline is provided by an independent external provider, Health Assured and is a means for all staff and their immediate families to access practical help, information, advice and support to address and resolve problems and issues they may be facing at home or at work. The service is free, independent, confidential and available 24 hours a day.


The Multifaith Chaplaincy is available for every member of University staff, of any faith or none and provides a confidential listening ear, on spiritual or other topics.


The Women Academic Returners Programme is designed to enhance existing support to female academics and researchers on their return from maternity leave, in order to help them "catch up" or progress their research pursuits.
