2014–15 National Pay Negotiations

Latest news

The Universities and Colleges Employers Association (UCEA) and the national trades unions have reached agreement on the 2014 national pay award.

National pay negotiations for 2014–15 commenced in March 2014. The timetable for meetings was brought forward in an attempt to resolve the ongoing dispute from the 2013–14 pay negotiations.

UCEA, representing the HE employers, made a "full & final" offer of 2% on all points on the 51 point pay spine and 2.4% on point 1 of the spine.

All the national trades unions have now accepted the employers' offer, following consultations and ballots.

The offer also provides for joint working at a national level between UCEA and the trades unions on issues of the gender pay gap and hourly-paid and casual working.

The revised pay structure will be published once available.
