The Sheffield Leader is leadership development for University staff who lead, or have the potential to lead. Leadership is found across the institution at many levels and in many guises. The Sheffield Leader ensures these leaders have the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed by the University to face the challenges ahead, both internally and externally, and lead others to provide excellence throughout the institution.

Strategic Partners Community Event - 'Our Plan' series
Many thanks to Sarah Want (Director of Regional Engagement & Partnerships) and John Dale (Industry Account Manager, Regional Engagement & Partnerships) for giving a packed Firth Hall an overview of why the University engages in partnerships and some fascinating insights into the longstanding partnership with Siemens. Colleagues also took a practical look at the principles behind good partnership working, which all leaders can use both internally and externally. Check out our Community Event pages for details of upcoming events!
Leadership development online
Did you know University staff can access the Lynda.com for free? Find it in your all services menu. Follow the link for a quick course from Harvard's Amy Edmondson
The Leadership Foundation has created 'Knowledge Bank', a website with lots of useful resources. It's free for TUoS staff, due to the University being a member institution. Go to MyLF Signup first, then search for 'Knowledge Bank'.
