London lives, 1690-1800

London lives is a fully searchable edition of handwritten documents from criminal justice and local government, bringing to life 18th century London's non-elite inhabitants. Created by the team behind Old Bailey proceedings, the project is a collaboration between the Universities of Hertfordshire and Sheffield and is funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC). It is published by the Humanities Research Institute, University of Sheffield.
