Description

This unit presents key concepts and practical skills necessary for designing, running and analysing your own research study in both semesters. You will be given guidance and skills for the methods of acquiring knowledge, the nature of research paradigms and experimental design, along with careful consideration of ethical issues. Training and feedback will be given for the skills of: integrating evidence and theory; presenting logically structured arguments; designing and carrying out independent research work; and the skills required for good scientific writing and communication.
