AMR21002   Machining, joining and thermal processing   (10 credits)

Description

This unit explores secondary manufacturing processes: machining, joining and thermal treatment. Process variants and factors driving their selection will be explored including conventional and non-conventional processes. Students will learn about the interaction of these manufacturing processes with the microstructure and hence properties of the material, in addition to factors driving process selection.
