Can you make a video about your research to inspire a public audience?

The 'My Research Story' video competition is open to all faculties for anyone in a research role or registered as a postgraduate student at the University of Sheffield.

COMPETITION CLOSED, it will re-open in March 2020.

Entry requirements/ Judging criteria:Picture of film reel and clapperbaord

    To be in with a chance of winning, please ensure your video:

    ~ Is based on your own personal research (we are looking for personal stories, not collaborations)
    ~ Clearly articulates the research area and the benefits of the research to society
    ~ Will be suitable for a non specialist audience
    ~ Is inspirational
    ~ Has a high standard of recording/editing
    ~ Lasts no more than four minutes
    ~ Comes in standard movie format such as .MOV .AVI .WMV .FLV .MPG .MP3

    Contra-indications are: videos created by/for a whole research group, obvious significant financial input in to production and the video being previously entered elsewhere.

A panel will then decide on the winner.
