Student Services unveils its strategy for 2016-2021
Student Services aims to provide an excellent, quality experience while developing innovative new services to successfully meet the changing needs of students. Our remit covers a wide range of the services you use at the University, from the start of your course to graduation and beyond, including SSiD, the Careers Service and the University Health Service.
We have a reputation for award winning service and student satisfaction. Student Services has consistently been number one within the leading Russell Group of top Universities for the support we offer. We have received a 98% rating in the global “Student Barometer” survey for more than three years running.
In recent months, the Department has worked with students and staff to build from this strong starting point by reviewing and revising our existing strategy.
The new Student Services Strategy for 2016-21 aims to further improve the services we offer. The strategy’s broad themes give direction for future developments and complement the University’s ambitions as reflected in a new Strategic Plan.
Dr Andrew West, University Secretary, says: “Over many years Student Services at the University of Sheffield has worked hard to provide students with the support they need to be successful in their studies. Our new strategy builds on these foundations and encourages us to further innovation and improvement into the future.”
