Sheffield has one of Britain's best Philosophy departments. We came joint 3rd in the latest Research Assessment Exercise and got full marks in the government's Teaching Quality Assessment. The Department is widely seen as the friendliest in the country, and is known for its vibrant graduate community. We offer MA degrees in Philosophy, Cognitive Studies, and Political Theory, as well as a wide range of PhD opportunities, reflecting the exceptionally broad range of research interests among our staff.
We are still accepting applications for postgraduate study in 2013.
The DepartmentSheffield's range of expertise is second to none: we have philosophers working in all the main traditional areas of the subject, as well as in more recent areas such as feminism and the philosophy of film. This enables us to provide expert supervision on almost any subject. Follow the links for more information: |
