Prospective Postgraduates - Pursue the extraordinary

Funding is available from various sources for Masters in Arts & Humanities subjects.  Applications for WRoCAH and Faculty Scholarships in the Arts and Humanities are now closed.  Details on the University of Sheffield Postgraduate Scholarships can be found below.

White Rose College of the Arts and Humanities (WRoCAH)

The University of Sheffield is part of the AHRC-funded White Rose College of the Arts and Humanities (WRoCAH) with the Universities of Leeds and York. Each University in this network offers WRoCAH Masters studentships for students undertaking taught or research-based Masters programmes, but who aspire to complete a doctoral research degree on successfully completing their MA.

WRoCAH is providing 2 fully funded studentships (Home/ EU fees and stipend (£14,296 for 2016/17) to eligible Home/ EU students. There are also a further 8 fee scholarships, for 3 of which the stipend support will be offered by the University of Sheffield.

Applications for 2016/2017 Scholarships are now closed. Results will be published by 31/5/16 at the latest.

Please note, your application will be considered for both the WRoCAH and the Faculty (see below) scholarships.

Faculty of Arts and Humanities Masters Scholarships

The Faculty of Arts and Humanities also offers a number of Masters scholarships for students undertaking a taught Masters programme, awarded on the basis of academic excellence (and not dependent on whether or not students aspire to complete s doctoral research degree after succesful completion of their MA).

Applications for 2016/2017 Scholarships are now closed.  Results will be published by 31/5/16 at the latest.

Please note, your application will be considered for both the WRoCAH (see above) and the Faculty scholarships.

University of Sheffield Postgraduate Scholarships

The University of Sheffield offering 100 scholarships worth £10,000 each for students starting a taught postgraduate course at the University in 2016.

The scholarships are for students who meet at least one of our widening participation criteria and/or students who achieve a first in their undergraduate degree. Further information on these awards is available at http://www.sheffield.ac.uk/ssid/finance/sps.

Alumni Scholarships

Postgraduate Masters Alumni Rewards

For graduates of the University of Sheffield, classified as Home or European for fee purposes, a fee discount of 10% will be applied for Full and Part Time Masters, Certificates and Diplomas - for further information visit the Alumni Rewards page.

International Students Alumni Rewards

Rewards worth £1,500 per year of study are available for all University of Sheffield graduates and siblings, spouses, sons and daughters of University of Sheffield graduates for all years of study. An additional £500 is available for University of Sheffield graduates who have received a first class honours undergraduate degree.
