Open Days in 2014

Open Days - student holding here to help you sign

Our 2014 undergraduate Open Days will take place on:

  • Saturday 6 September
  • Saturday 18 October

Visit before you apply

You can take a tour of the campus, the Students' Union and our accommodation. There are talks about studying abroad, how to get loans and grants and other things that matter to you.

Academic departments hold talks throughout the day. Staff and students will be there to answer your questions.

Most important of all, you get to find out how it feels – the atmosphere, the people, the campus and the city.

Travel information and disruptions

Campus Tours

If you are unable to attend one of our main Open Days, take a tour of the University central campus instead.

Our campus tours take place daily during busy times, and leave at 1pm from the Students' Union welcome desk.  If the date you'd like to visit doesn't appear on the booking form, this means it's fully booked.

Campus tours are mainly for pre-application students, their family members, and other visitors to the University.

Self-guided tours

If you'd rather explore the campus in your own time then you'll find our self-guided tour useful. You can download a copy of this from the right-hand-side of this page.

Department Open Days

Departments run their own open days, later in the year, after you apply. If a department offers you a place, or they're thinking of offering you a place, you'll be invited.

This is your chance to get to know your department better. You spend a whole day with staff and students. They'll tell you more about the course and the research they do. You'll be shown around the department and the University. Some department open days include an interview.
