Green Impact Student Engagement
Estates and Facilities Management
Green Impact is a national accreditation scheme run by SOS-UK (Students Organising for Sustainability - part of the National Union of Students (NUS)) to help organisations improve their impact on the environment. University departments enter teams to work towards awards and in so doing improve their environmental practices. Students also have the opportunity to get involved, either by volunteering to be a Green Impact Project Assistant (GIPA) to support an individual department in achieving its goals, or by acting as a Green Impact Student Auditor and helping to assess teams' successes.
