A student must satisfy the requirements of the General Regulations for First Degrees as to progression in order to continue as a student for the Degree of MEng in Systems and Control Engineering with a Year in Industry (ACSU40). A student who fails to satisfy these requirements may be permitted by the Faculty to become instead a student for the Degree of BEng in Systems and Control Engineering (ACSU03) but this qualification will not be accredited by the relevant professional institutions.

A student must pass ACS6420 (Advanced Project) at the first attempt in order to be eligible for the award of the Degree of MEng in Systems and Control Engineering with Year in Industry (ACSU40). A student who fails to satisfy this requirement may be awarded the Degree of BEng in Systems and Control Engineering with a Year in Industry (ACSU41) but this qualification will not be accredited by the relevant professional institutions.

A student must pass a minimum of 100 credits at Level 5 in order to be awarded the degree of MEng Systems and Control Engineering with a Year in Industry with accreditation by the IET and InstMC. A student who passes a minimum of 90 but fewer than 100 credits at Level 5 will, in accordance with the General Regulations, be awarded the degree of MEng Systems and Control Engineering with a Year in Industry, but without accreditation.
