The Part I Examination will be held during the first year of study. A student will pass all units before proceeding to the second year.

The Part II Examination will be held during the second year of study.

A student must achieve a mean grade of not less than 49.5 in order to be eligible for the award of the Degree of MArch in Architecture and Town and Regional Planning.

A student must pass TRP6406 (Dissertation) in order to be eligible for the award of the Degree of MArch in Architecture and Town and Regional Planning. A student who fails to satisfy this requirement but has been awarded one hundred and twenty credits in both Part I and Part II may be recommended instead for the award of the Degree of MArch in Architecture (ARCU126).

A student who satisfies the requirements for the award of the Degree of MArch in Architecture and Town and Regional Planning and who has attained an exceptional standard across one or both of the component subjects may, on the recommendation of the Examiners, be awarded a mark of distinction in Architecture or Town and Regional Planning, or both.
