4C

A student must pass the Advanced Bioengineering Research Project (BIE61003/BIE61004/BIE61005/BIE61006/BIE61007/BIE61008/BIE61009/BIE61010) at the first attempt in order to be eligible for the award of the Degree of MEng in Bioengineering. A student who fails to satisfy this requirement may be  permitted by the Faculty to become instead a student for the Degree of BEng Bioengineering (BIEU20).

A student must satisfy the requirements of the General Regulations for First Degrees as to progression in order to continue as a student for the Degree of MEng Bioengineering (BIEU19). A student who fails to satisfy these requirements may be permitted by the Faculty to (a) at the end of Level 2 become a candidate for the Degree of BEng Bioengineering (BIEU20), or (b) at the end of Level 3 become a candidate for the unaccredited Degree of BEng Bioengineering Technology (BIEU23). A student who fails the Individual Advanced Project at Level 4 or who chooses to withdraw from the University at the end of Level 3 may be awarded the unaccredited Degree of BEng Bioengineering Technology (BIEU23).
