CHM1402  Further Laboratory Chemistry SPR SEM 10 credits

Students without A level Mathematics grade C or above and without A level Physics grade C or above.
A student will take 60 credits from this group.

Semester 1
CHM1501  Mathematics for Chemistry 1 AUT SEM 10 credits
CHM1503  Physical Principles in Chemistry AUT SEM 10 credits

Semester 2
CHM1502  Mathematics for Chemistry 2 SPR SEM 10 credits
a student can take unrestricted units to the value of 30 credits.
OR

units (60 credits)
1C
Students with A level Mathematics grade C or above and without A level Physics grade C or above. Students must take either MAS140 or MAS159.
A student will take 60 credits from this group.

Semester 1
CHM1503  Physical Principles in Chemistry AUT SEM 10 credits

MAS159  Mathematics for Chemists ACAD YR 20 credits
a student can take unrestricted units to the value of 30 credits.
OR

A student must achieve a weighted mean grade of 59.5 or above at Level 2 in order to continue as a student for the Degree of MChem in Chemistry (CHMU02).  A student who fails to satisfy this requirement may be required by the Head of Department to become instead a student for the Degree of BSc in Chemistry (CHMU01).

A student must achieve a weighted mean grade of 54.5 or above at Level 3 in order to continue as a student for the Degree of MChem in Chemistry (CHMU02).  A student who fails to satisfy this requirement may be required by the Head of Department to become instead a student for the Degree of BSc in Chemistry (CHMU01).

Year 4
