For all students:
In the event of failure in CIV6000 at the first attempt, any resubmission is subject to the approval of the Board of Examiners.

For all students:
The Examiners may in their discretion recommend that a student who is awarded not fewer than 105 credits in respect of units listed at 1A and 1B, be deemed to have passed the Examination for a Postgraduate Diploma in Structural Engineering (CIVT71), providing that the student has obtained an average grade of not less than 50 and a grade or grades of not less than 40 in the elements of the programme of study in respect of which credits are not awarded.

For all students:
A student who has been awarded sixty credits in respect of units listed at 1A above will be eligible for the award of the Postgraduate Certificate in Structural Engineering (CIVT74).

For students commencing Year 1 of a programme of study in or after September 2022:
A student who failed to pass CIV61005 may not be recommended for a degree award that is accredited under Engineering Council rules.
Where a student has met the requirements for the award of a degree under the General Regulations for Higher Degrees, Postgraduate Diplomas and Postgraduate Certificates but not the requirements for the award of a degree accredited under Engineering Council rules, they may be recommended for the award of MSc Structural Engineering Technology.
