A student must pass units CIV2100, CIV2300, CIV2500 and FCE2001 to proceed to Level 3.

A student must have been awarded a minimum of 100 credits at Level 2 and obtained a weighted mean grade greater than or equal to 54.5 to proceed to Level 3. A student who does not fulfil these criteria will be transferred onto the BEng Civil Engineering programme (CIVU17) with the units passed as defined in 2B. A student may return to this programme, after the February Board of Examiners, in Year 3 if (a) their weighted mean grade exceeds 60 for Semester 1, Year 3 units (excluding MGT388); (b) if they pass CIV397 in lieu of CIV396 and (c) if the student has opted to take MAS380 in Semester 1.

A student who fails to satisfy this requirement may be permitted by the Faculty to be awarded the Degree of BEng in Civil Engineering (CIVU17) but will be ineligible for the award of that Degree with Honours.
