2B

A student must pass units MEC203, MEC208, CIV2100, CIV2200, MAT2600, FCE1001 and FCE2001 to proceed to Level 3.


2C

A student must have been awarded a minimum of 100 credits at Level 2 and obtained a weighted mean grade greater than or equal to 54.5 to proceed to Level 3. A student who does not fulfil these criteria will be transferred to the BEng in Architectural Engineering programme (CIVU24).


2D

A BEng Architectural Engineering (CIVU24) student may return to CIVU21 in Level 3 following the February Board of Examiners, if (a) their autumn semester level 3 weighted mean grade is equal to or greater than 60 (excluding MGT388); and (b) if the student has taken EEE218 in the autumn semester. In this instance CIV387 will be substituted for ARC377 for the MEng progression requirement.

4C

A student must pass CIV4008 (Individual Research Project for Architectural Engineering) at the first attempt in order to be eligible for the award of the Degree of MEng in Architectural Engineering (CIVU21).

A student who fails to satisfy this requirement may be awarded the degree of BEng in Architectural Engineering (CIVU24) but will be ineligible for the award of that Degree with Honours.
