MAS003  Core Foundation Mathematics ACAD YR 40 credits
MAS005  Foundation Core and Enhanced Mathematics ACAD YR 40 credits
A student must have A level maths at grade A-C (or equivalent) to take MAS005.

1C

A student will pass the Foundation Year if the average mark in each unit is at or above the pass mark.  A student who fails any unit at the first attempt may enter for a subsequent examination in respect of the unit on no more than one occasion.


1D

A student who achieves a weighted average grade of 60% or higher will automatically progress to level one with the exception of CIVU12 (please read 1E).  Progression for students who pass the Foundation Year but fail to achieve this grade will be at the discretion of the Admissions Tutor.


1E

Foundation Year students seeking to progress to Structural Engineering & Architecture CIVU12, in addition to achieving the pass marks, must complete a satisfactory portfolio of artwork to be approved by our School of Architecture.  In keeping with the entry requirements for students seeking direct entry to this programme, only one attempt at submitting the portfolio is permitted.  Progression for students who pass the portfolio but fail to achieve the requisite grades is at the discretion of the Undergraduate Admissions Tutor.
