A student who has been awarded 120 credits in respect of units listed at 1(a) shall be eligible for the award of the Postgraduate Diploma in Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence (COMT142).

A student who has been awarded 60 credits in respect of units listed at 1(a), at least 15 of which are from the AI modules (COM6509, COM6012, COM6115, and COM6513) and at least 15 of which are from the Cybersecurity modules (COM6014, COM6015, COM6016, COM6017), shall be eligible for the award of the Postgraduate Certificate in Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence (COMT143).

A student may proceed to the dissertation only on the recommendation of the Examiners based on performance in the units listed at 1(a).

In the event of failure in COM6013 (Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence Dissertation Project) at the first attempt, any resubmission is subject to the approval of the Board of Examiners.

For students commencing Year 1 of a programme of study in or after September 2022:
A student who failed to pass one or more of the modules from the list below may not be recommended for a degree award that is accredited under Engineering Council rules; COM6017.
Where a student has met the requirements for the award of a degree under the General Regulations for Higher Degrees, Postgraduate Diplomas and Postgraduate Certificates but not the requirements for the award of a degree accredited under Engineering Council rules, they may be recommended for the award of Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence Studies.
