3B

A student must normally achieve a weighted mean grade of 55 or above at Level 1 and Level 2 in order to proceed to the Year in Industry, progression being at the discretion of the Board of Examiners.  A student who fails to progress may be permitted to become instead a student for the Degree of BSc Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science (COMU117).


3C

A student will be responsible for securing a suitable industrial placement in order to take COM390 Year in Industry. The appropriateness of the placement will be determined by the Industrial Placement Officer.  A student who fails to obtain a suitable placement will instead be required to become a student for the Degree of BSc Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science (COMU117).


3D

COM390 requires that a student will spend a minimum of 38 weeks working in an industrial establishment, the arrangements being subject to the approval of the Director of Undergraduate Studies. A student who fails to satisfy these requirements may be permitted by the Faculty to become instead a student for the Degree of BSc Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science (COMU117).
