A student must pass EEE480 (Individual Investigative Project) at the first attempt in order to be eligible for the award of the Degree of MEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with Study Year Abroad (EEEU167). A student who fails to satisfy this requirement may be awarded the Degree of BEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEEU59).
4F
A student must pass a minimum of 100 credits at Level 4 in order to be recommended for the award of the degree of MEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering with Study Year Abroad with accreditation (Full CEng) by the IET. A student who fails to gain 100 credits at Level 4, but otherwise satisfies the General Regulations, will be recommended for the award of the degree of MEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering with Study Year Abroad but without accreditation. This applies to any student who enters any degree programme in the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering from September 2017 onwards.
4G
The marks obtained from studies at level 2, 3, and 4 for the Degree of Electrical & Electronic Engineering with Study Year Abroad (EEEU167) will be combined in the ratios 1:1:2, respectively to yield an overall mark consistent with Method 1 for the purpose of determining degree classification.
