ELL6402 + Previous experience as a language teacher is advisable.	Language Teaching Methodology	AUT SEM	15 credits
ELL6415	Introduction to Second Language Acquisition	AUT SEM	15 credits

Students completing the traditional dissertation will take ELL635 Research Dissertation Practice

Students completing a course/test design dissertation will take ELL636 Curriculum, Materials, and Test Design

AND

A student will take up to 15 credits from this group.

ELL6199	World Englishes	SPR SEM	15 credits
ELL624	Teaching Writing in TESOL	SPR SEM	15 credits
ELL629 + EMPTY.	Vocabulary: Learning, Teaching and Testing	SPR SEM	15 credits
ELL6409 + Some previous language teaching experience is advisable.	Teaching English for Specific Purposes	SPR SEM	15 credits
ELL6411 + Research Methods core module on MA Applied Linguistics.	Language Testing	SPR SEM	15 credits

with reference to the requirements stipulated in Regulation 1C above

A student who has been awarded one hundred and twenty credits in respect of units listed at 1A, 1B, 1C and 1D above will be eligible for the award of the Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Linguistics.
