Semester 1
EGH610 + This module is primarily intended for students on the MA in English Language and Literature, although students on other MAs in the School of English may take it if they have an appropriate background in literary linguistics..	Literary Language (History and Culture)	AUT SEM	30 credits
EGH624	Linguistics in Context	AUT SEM	30 credits
Semester 2
EGH6025	Literature and Language in the Workplace	SPR SEM	15 credits
EGH619	Research Practice	SPR SEM	15 credits
EGH623 + Restricted to MA students in School of English.	Work Placement with Research Project	SPR SEM	30 credits
EGH625	Linguistics in Practice	SPR SEM	30 credits
EGH626 + This module is available to students following taught Masters in the School of English Literature, Language & Linguistics only..	Research Practice	SPR SEM	30 credits

or two 30 credit units from another Masters programme subject to the approval of the MA Programme Director

In respect of 1B, a student may not take EGH6025 and EGH623 together or EGH619 and EGH626 together

EGH6130	Dissertation (English Language and Linguistics)	SPR SEM	60 credits

A candidate who has been awarded one hundred and twenty credits in respect of units listed at 1A and 1B above shall be eligible for the award of the Postgraduate Diploma in English Language and Linguistics.
