This programme of study is non-modular.

A person may be admitted as a student who is a graduate or who has been granted a Certificate of Academic Standing from the Solicitors Regulation Authority or the Bar Standards Board. For these purposes a “graduate” means that an undergraduate degree has been conferred by an institution with degree awarding powers in the UK or the Republic of Ireland. "Undergraduate degree" does not include foundation degrees.

A student will pursue the programme of study for thirty eight weeks.

The assessment in English Legal System must be passed at the first or second attempt before a student may attempt assessments in the other areas.

The assessment will consist of one subject assessment in each area (each subject assessment may consist of more than one paper).

The Examiners may recommend the award of a Postgraduate Diploma with distinction or commendation.
