A student must achieve a grade of 40 or above in each unit in order to be eligible for the award of Graduate Certificate in Statistics.

A student who achieves a weighted mean grade of 70 or above may be awarded a distinction.
|

A student who achieves a mean grade of 65 or above may be permitted to register for the Degree of MSc in Statistics. A student who achieves a mean grade below 65 may be permitted to register for the Degree of MSc in Statistics only at the discretion of the Head of Department.

A student who has been awarded sixty credits will pass the examination.
|

A student who fails to satisfy the Examiners in respect of any unit may enter for a subsequent examination in respect of the same unit. A student who satisfies the Examiners in a subsequent examination will be awarded a grade of 40 in that examination.

Except with the permission of the Faculty a student must complete the Graduate Certificate in Statistics within a period of 2 years from the date of initial registration.
