MAT6040  Project ACAD YR 60 credits

The Head of Department may, if a student fails more than thirty credits in Semester One and in accordance with procedures approved by the Faculty, require a student who has taken the programme of study prescribed at 1A above to become instead a student for the Degree of Postgraduate Certificate in Polymers and Composites (MATT33).

A student who has been awarded one hundred and twenty credits in respect of units listed at 1A and 1B above and who does not proceed to complete the requirements for the Degree of MSc (Eng) will be eligible for the award of the Postgraduate Diploma in Polymers and Composites (MATT31).

A student who has been awarded sixty credits in respect of units listed at 1A above and who does not proceed to complete the requirements for the Degree of MSc (Eng) will be eligible for the award of the Postgraduate Certificate in Polymers and Composites (MATT33).

In the event of failure of MAT6040 listed at 1B at the first attempt, any resubmission is subject to the approval of the Board of Examiners.
