A student must pass MEC401 (Individual Project) at the first attempt in order to be eligible for the award of the Degree of MEng in Mechanical Engineering with German. A student who fails to satisfy this requirement may be awarded the Degree of BEng in Mechanical Engineering (MECU002).

A student must satisfy the requirements of the General Regulations for First Degrees in the Faculty of Engineering as to progression in order to continue as a student for the Degree of MEng in Mechanical Engineering with German (MECU006). A student who fails to satisfy these requirements may be permitted by the Faculty to become instead a student for the Degree of BEng in Mechanical Engineering (MECU002).
