A student must achieve a weighted mean grade of 59.5 or above at Level 1 to continue as a student for the Degree of MPhys in Physics and Astrophysics with Study Abroad (PHYU25). A student who fails to satisfy this requirement may be required by the Faculty to become instead a student for the Degree of MPhys in Physics and Astrophysics (PHYU11).

2B

A student must achieve a weighted mean grade of 59.5 or above at Level 2 in order to continue as a student for the Degree of MPhys in Physics and Astrophysics with Study Abroad (PHYU25). A student who fails to satisfy this requirement may be required by the Faculty to become instead a student for the Degree of BSc in Physics and Astrophysics (PHYU06). 

Year 3

A student shall take an approved programme of study at an institution selected from the University's list of Study Abroad exchange partners. During this period the student will undertake a programmes of study, and attain a standard deemed satisfactory by the Faculty, taken in the host institution which shall carry the value of one hundred and twenty credits. A student who fails to satisfy this requirement may be required by the Faculty to become instead a student for the Degree of BSc in Physics and Astrophysics with Study Abroad (PHYU37).

  Alternatively, subject to the approval of the Director of Teaching, a student will take
(a) the list under Level 4A of PHYU25      
(b) units to the value of sixty credits from the following, not more than twenty credits to be taken from (ii)
(i) the list under Level 4B of PHYU25, plus PHY449
(ii)

the list under Level 3A of PHYU11, omitting PHY350


4D

A student must satisfy the requirements of the General Regulations for First Degrees as to progression to continue as a student for the Degree of MPhys in Physics and Astrophysics with Study Abroad (PHYU25). A student who fails to satisfy these requirements may be required by the faculty to become instead a student for the Degree of BSc in Physics and Astrophysics with Study Abroad (PHYU37).
