A student will be registered on this programme as part of a dual degree programme offered by the University of Sheffield and LUISS Guido Carli University, Italy.

At the beginning of the programme of study, a student will register at both LUISS Guido Carli University and The University of Sheffield.

The programme of study shall be pursued full-time for not less than twenty-two months and shall be subject to a time-limit of thirty-four months.

A student will take a programme of study at LUISS Guido Carli University,  to include two core units entitled ‘European Institutions’ and ‘European Politics in the Twentieth Century’, for which credits to the value of sixty University of Sheffield credits (thirty ECTS) will be awarded and count towards the University of  Sheffield award.

A student who has been awarded units to the value of one hundred and twenty University of Sheffield credits in respect of 4 and 5A will be eligible for the award of Postgraduate Diploma in European and Global Affairs from the University of Sheffield.
