In respect of 2A, subject to satisfactory performance, the student will spend one year working on a practice placement on a project agreed between the Head of Department and the placement agency. During this period the student shall prepare a written report, present an oral presentation, or undertake any other examined work on the project as prescribed by the Head of Department, in respect of which no grades will be awarded. A student who fails to satisfy this requirement may be permitted by the Faculty to become instead a candidate for the Degree of MA in Town and Regional Planning (TRPT106).

A student who has been awarded one hundred and twenty credits in respect of units listed at 1B, 1C and 2B and has successfully completed the unit listed at 2A shall be eligible for the award of Postgraduate Diploma in Town and Regional Planning with Advanced Study in Practice. A student who has been awarded one hundred and twenty credits in respect of units listed at 1B, 1C and 2B, but has not successfully completed the unit listed at 2A shall be eligible for the award of the Postgraduate Diploma in Town and Regional Planning.

A student who has been awarded sixty credits in respect of units listed at 1B and 1C shall be eligible for the award of Postgraduate Certificate in Town and Regional Planning.
