CPE6230   Major Hazards and Emergency Planning   (15 credits)

The module will address aspects relating to a major loss of containment event, both in terms of predicting possible consequences and developing emergency response plans. The module aims to identify strategies for managing risk following a loss of containment event. It will cover how to model possible fire, explosion and toxicity consequences from a loss of contamination event. It will describe how to develop emergency response plans. .
