1.2 million Pound award from EPSRC

The Department of Automatic Control and Systems Engineering is pleased to announce that Professor S A Billings, Professor V Kadirkamanathan, Dr Z Q Lang, Dr D Coca, Professor M Balikhin and Dr H L Wei have been awarded £1.2 million from EPSRC for the renewal of their existing Platform Grant from 2010 to 2015 for the project 'System Identification and Information Processing for Complex Systems'.

The grant will allow a continuation of investigations into system identification and analysis methods for complex systems focussed on applications in stem cell dynamics, Drosophila visual processing, diffuse optical tomography of brain, reaction diffusion and crystal growth processes,
and the modelling of solar terrestrial systems.
