NEW FOR 2012: BA degrees in “Religion, Theology and the Bible”.

Drawing on our established expertise, the new degree programme combines biblical studies with the latest developments in the cultural, political, ideological, ethical and philosophical, sociological, historical and archeological approaches to religion and theology to illuminate the Bible and its role in contemporary religious, social and political life. Is the Bible fact or fiction? Who wrote the gospels? Who compiled the canon, and why were so many books omitted? How has the Bible been used in debates about gender, science, and Middle East politics?
