Professor Mike Considine elected for senior position

The Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) has welcomed the election of Professor Mike Considine, of Chemical and Biological Engineering to a key role in the European chemical engineering community.

Professor Michael Considine has been elected as the Federation’s Executive Vice President, from 1 January 2014, succeeding Wridzer Bakker of AkzoNobel. Prof. Considine is professor of Process Safety and Loss Prevention at the University of Sheffield, having joined the University in 2012 following a career in the international energy industry. He is a major contributor to IChemE’s process safety community.
