BiographyI obtained my PhD in Physics from the University of Pau (France), entitled “Simultaneous prediction of phase behavior and second derivative properties of complex fluids using the statistical associating fluid theory of variable range approach”. After completing my PhD in 2007, I moved to Imperial College London as a research associate in the Molecular Systems Engineering group under the supervision of Profs George Jackson, Amparo Galindo and Claire S. Adjiman, where I continued my research in the area of chemical engineering with a particular focus on the Statistical mechanics of complex fluids. This research led to development of a molecular based group contribution approach, namely SAFT-Mie, for use in industrially relevant problems in the area of energy (CO2 capture, oil and gas fluid modelling), functional materials (surfactants, polymers) and healthcare (pharmaceutical and pharmaceutical process development). At this point I was awarded a year of funding by EPSRC to work in collaboration with Process Systems Enterprise (PSE) under a Knowledge Transfer Secondment Scheme. In 2011, I moved to the United States and continued my academic career at Princeton University where I took up a new post doctoral position in the group of Prof. Athanassios Z. Panagiotopoulos. In September 2012 I was appointed as a lecturer in energy in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University of Sheffield. |
