Doctoral Development: The Doctoral Development Programme is a flexible, on-going training plan that is integral part of your research degree and can be tailored to your individual needs. Information about the DDP is available via the DDP portal.

The Graduate Research Centre is based on D floor of the Dainton Building.

English Language Teaching Centre (ELTC): The ELTC offer a number of language-related services to students. It is located at 78 Hoyle Street, tel: 0114 2221780, email: eltc@sheffield.ac.uk

Counselling Service: The University's Counselling Service (UCS) is a free, confidential service. UCS is located at 36 Wilkinson Street, tel: 0114 222 4134, email: ucs@sheffield.ac.uk.

University Health ServiceThe University Health Service offers full GP services to all students, if they choose to register, and their dependents (if they live within the practice area). It is located at 53 Gell Street, tel: 0114 222 2100, email: health.service@sheffield.ac.uk.

Sheffield University Nightline: Sheffield University Nightline is a confidential listening and information telephone service run by trained student volunteers. You can call Nightline between 8pm and 8am any night in term time. Tel: 0114 222 8787 for listening. Tel: 0114 222 8788 for information.

They also have an email listening service, so you can email at any time about anything, and they will reply within 48 hours (your email address is hidden from them to maintain complete anonymity).

Chemistry Researchers Society: The CRS connects postgraduate and postdoctoral  researchers through regular coffee mornings, seminars and events. Email: crs@sheffield.ac.uk.
