A 12 month taught MSc course suitable for graduate chemists, physicists and chemical engineers. It offers tuition in basic aspects of polymer science, and an extended research project. There will be an opportunity to specialise in one or more advanced technological areas.

We recruit typically around 30 PhD students each year to work in a range of projects spread across our four research clusters. Funding comes from a range of sources such as government research councils, industry, and the EU. Many PhD grants are open to UK and EU students only; we also welcome applications from international students who are supported by scholarships from their home governments or other funding agencies.

This innovative 12 month taught Masters course is suitable for graduates with a first degree in science or engineering with an interest in developing hands-on skills in Science Communication. The course offers a unique insight both into the needs for communicating science and the techniques and methods required to deliver this. This Masters is taught by experts in their fields from the Faculty of Science and the Department for Journalism Studies.
