How to find us

The ELTC is part of the Sheffield 3 Student Roost accommodation complex and is located opposite the Shell petrol station on the junction of Hoyle Street and Meadow Street. It is also near to the Kelham Island industrial heritage area.

Train and tram

Two Sheffield supertrams

The easiest way to reach us from the city centre is by tram. We are located 2 minutes walk away from the 'Shalesmoor' tram stop.

The ELTC is on the blue and yellow tram routes and is 2 stops from 'The University of Sheffield' tram stop.

Trams go directly to:

  • the city centre (blue and yellow tram)
  • Sheffield train station (blue tram)
  • Meadowhall shopping centre (yellow tram)
  • Hillsborough (blue and yellow tram).

Walking

The ELTC is 10 minutes walk from the University of Sheffield (near tram stop or Information Commons).

Cycling

Cycle racks are available outside our main entrance and we have shower facilities for cyclists on the ground floor.

Bus

Several bus services stop near the ELTC. Routes stopping nearby include H1, 10, 10A, 31, 31B, 35, 57, 81, 82, 86 and 135.

You can use the Travel South Yorkshire website to plan your journey by bus or to search for a timetable.

Car

The ELTC is near the Shalesmoor roundabout on the A61 and part of the Sheffield inner ring road. Limited street parking is available on Watery Street and Henry Street nearby.
