Undergraduate studies
Our department enjoys a fine reputation for high-quality teaching supported by nationally and internationally-recognised research.
We achieved an excellent 5A grade in the 2001 Research Assessment Exercise, and were awarded 21/24 in the latest Teaching Quality Assessment, with maximum marks for student support, and curriculum design and organisation.
A thriving community of some 400 students follow the undergraduate Hispanic Studies programme. Around 120 of these are first years and just over half have Spanish A Level. The remainder follow our highly-successful Beginners course.
