Middle East & North Africa Merit Undergraduate Scholarships 2016

There are ten Middle East & North Africa Merit Undergraduate Scholarships, available for students from the Middle East and North Africa.

Each Undergraduate scholarship is worth 50% of the original annual tuition fee before any other scholarships, discounts or rewards have been applied. The scholarship is for each year of study for all undergraduate programmes, except Medicine and Dentistry. Students of Medicine or Dentistry will only receive the scholarship for the non-clinical years (Medicine years 1 & 2 and Dentistry year 1). The scholarships will take the form of a fee reduction.

To apply, students must be:
1) holding an offer of an undergraduate study place in any department for entry in September 2016; and
2) a national of, or domiciled in Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Oman, Saudia Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Egypt, Sudan, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco

To receive the award, students must have accepted the University of Sheffield as their firm choice for study in September 2016 by 4 May 2016.

The scholarships will be awarded unconditionally in the first year of studies. Receipt of the award in subsequent years of study is subject to the achievement of 60% overall average mark, in the previous academic year.

Student Services will automatically send details of how to apply to all eligible students.

The deadline for applications is Friday 22 April 2016, scholarship results will be announced Friday 27 May 2016

Middle East & North Africa Merit Postgraduate Scholarships 2016

There is one Middle East & North Africa Merit Postgraduate Scholarships available for students. Each scholarship is worth 50% of the Postgraduate yearly tuition fee per year. The scholarships will take the form of a fee reduction.

To be eligible for the Scholarship, applicants must be self-funding and classed as 'Overseas' for fee purposes AND a national or permanently domiciled in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Oman, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bharain, Kuwait, Sudan, Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco.

The Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and the supporting statement. The final decision will be made by an academic panel.

If you wish to be considered for this scholarship you need to apply online, the application link will be distributed to eligible students by email from January onwards.

Applicants cannot apply for the scholarship before being offered a study place at Sheffield.

The deadline for applications is Friday 24 June 2016, scholarship results will be announced Friday 29 July 2016.
