Listed below are the scholarships the University was pleased to offer to students from Canada who showed exceptional academic potential and started their studies at the University of Sheffield in September 2013.

Postgraduate Scholarships eg MA, MSc
The University offers a range of scholarships for Canadian students who show exceptional academic potential starting a postgraduate taught masters programme at the University of Sheffield in September 2013.
Canada Sheffield Scholarships 2013
We are pleased to offer the Canada Sheffield Scholarship 2013 to all Canadian students starting a Taught Masters programme in September 2013.
The scholarships are:
- £1,000 each for students studying Nanotechnology courses (jointly run with the University of Leeds)
- £1,500 each for students paying fees between £12,760 - £14,680
- £2,000 each for students paying fees of £14,681 and upwards
Eligibility and Award Criteria:
- You must hold an offer of a study place and begin your postgraduate Taught Masters programme in September 2013.
- You must be a Canadian national or permanently domiciled in Canada.
- You must be self-funding and classified as overseas for fee purposes.
- The scholarships will be awarded automatically - no application is required.
- The scholarships will take the form of a tuition fee reduction.
- The scholarships are for full-time and part-time students only. Students studying via Distance Learning are not eligible for the scholarships.
Canada Merit Postgraduate Scholarship 2013 (£7,000)
There is one Canada Merit Postgraduate Scholarship 2013 (£7,000), available for a Canadian student starting their postgraduate taught masters degree studies in September 2013.
The scholarship is worth £7,000 of your postgraduate taught masters degree tuition fee per year, for one year of study. The scholarship will take the form of a tuition fee reduction.
To be eligible for the Canada Merit Postgraduate Scholarship 2013, applicants must be an Canadian national or permanently domiciled in Canada, apply for a study place by Friday 22 June 2013 and hold an offer of a study place for entry in September 2013.
The Canada Merit Postgraduate Scholarship 2013 is awarded on the basis of academic merit.
If you wish to be considered for this scholarship you need to apply. Eligible students will automatically be sent details of how to apply from January 2013 onwards.
Applicants cannot apply for the scholarship before being offered a study place at Sheffield.
The deadline for applications is Friday 28 June 2013; scholarship results will be announced Friday 26 July 2013.

The Management School is pleased to offer a range of Masters and MBA scholarships to students from Canada who show exceptional academic potential and are starting their studies at the University of Sheffield in September 2013:
Postgraduate research degrees eg PhD, MPhil
The University of Sheffield does not offer research studentships specifically for Canadian students. There are, however, studentships and funding for which students from Canada can apply.
