Entry requirements

Minimum 2:1 honours degree, or equivalent, in any arts or social science subject. Exceptions are considered on an individual basis.

English language requirements: overall IELTS grade of 7.0 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component, or equivalent.

About the course

This course looks at the roles of religion and religious language in the media: television, newspapers, websites, blogs and social networking. There is an emphasis on the construction of religion in relation to violence. You'll have the opportunity to develop research skills in cultural studies, content analysis and critical theory.
