LLM European Health Law and Policy

About the course

1 year full-time/2 years part-time

Health care policies are increasingly being influenced by European policy and legal principles emerging from institutions such as the EU, the Council of Europe, and the European Patent Office.

This LLM course will give you a masters-level understanding of European Health Law and Policy. Once you've completed the course, you'll be able to find employment internationally within medical law, patent law, medical practice, pharmaceutical companies, the NHS or government departments.

Entry requirements

Minimum 2:1 honours degree, or international equivalent, usually in law or a subject with a large legal component (except LLM European Health Law and Policy and LLM Biotechnology Law and Ethics, see the website for further details), although we’ll consider your application if you have other qualifications.

English language requirements for overseas students

Overall IELTS grade of 7.0 with a minimum of 6.5 in each component, or equivalent.

Teaching

Teaching normally takes place through weekly seminars in each subject area.

Whether a module is taught in a particular year depends on the availability of staff, and the number of students choosing the module.
