About the course

6 months full-time/10 months part-time

If you're a graduate from the Sheffield Legal Practice Course, this programme allows you to gain additional expertise at masters level before entering the legal profession.

At the end of the course you'll be able to demonstrate to employers that you have the legal skills necessary to sustain in-depth research, marshal significant amounts of material, present your findings and express your views in a logical, coherent and persuasive manner.

How we teach

In the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise, we were ranked in the top 20. Among our academic staff are experts known internationally for their research in many areas of legal and criminological study. Their ground-breaking research will inform your studies here.

We have research groups in a diverse range of areas including: biotechnological law and ethics, criminology, commercial law, law in its international context and law in society. You’ll be drawn into the work of our research groups and be able to benefit from all the knowledge and professional contacts they can offer you.
