About the course2 years full-time This course is recognised by the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and the Health Professions Council. It gives you the training you need to take a professional qualification in speech and language therapy. You'll learn how to assess and manage a range of communication and swallowing disorders. Your skills will be put into practice through a series of clinical placements throughout the course. Entry requirementsMinimum of a 2:1 in a relevant subject such as psychology, linguistics or biomedical science. Some work experience relevant to speech and language therapy is required. If you have a degree in a subject other than those listed but have worked in an area relevant to speech and language therapy, eg as a speech and language therapy assistant, we'll consider your application. If you are shortlisted, we'll ask you to come to an interview. You must produce an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau disclosure and complete a health screening before starting the course. English language requirementsOverall IELTS grade of 8.0 with a minimum of 7.5 in each component, or equivalent.
