Entry requirements
A degree in dental technology or a relevant subject such as biomedical science or bioengineering. You should have at least two years’ post-qualification experience and be able to demonstrate advanced technical expertise in the field.
English language requirements: overall IELTS grade of 6.5 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component, or equivalent.

World-leading dental schoolOur internationally recognised oral and dental research has two themes: 'Person Centred' and 'Basic and Applied'. Each theme has three research groups: Bioengineering and Health Technologies, Person Centred and Population Oral Health Research, and Integrated Bioscience. Together these groups push boundaries, making us one of the leading research centres in the country. This research supports our blended approach to learning. Your course will make the most of virtual learning environments and advanced practical sessions, as well as traditional lectures and seminars. FacilitiesYou'll complete your clinical training in Sheffield's Charles Clifford Dental Hospital, part of the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. There are 150 dental units with modern facilities for treatment under sedation, a well-equipped dental radiography department, oral pathology laboratories and a hospital dental production laboratory. We also have purpose-built research and service laboratories and equipment. There's a core facility for cell and tissue culture and labs for microbiology, electron microscopy, histology, histochemistry and immuno-cytochemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, proteomics and materials science.
